The southern Oregon Coast is full of history and breathtaking beauty. Oregon Coast has a lot to offer, you don’t even have to look hard to find great adventures that are both fun and educational. The scenery will be especially inspiring for young budding artists. If you and your family love to be educated, then get packing because the South Oregon Coast is full of historical educational opportunities.

The south Oregon Coast runs from Reedsport to Brookings along the winding Highway 101 that is one of the All-American Roads.

The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area extends 45 miles from Florence to Coos Bay. Jessie Honeyman State park is a great place to go to walk in the dunes.




Reedsport is home to the Umpqua River Lighthouse, Umpqua Discovery Center, and the Dean Creek Elk viewing area.

North Bend, Coos Bay, and Charleston are collectively called the Oregon Bay Area. Coos Bay is the largest city on the Oregon Coast with the largest Oregon Coast harbor.

Southern Oregon Coast

Bandon is a unique coastal town that offers powerful experience to its visitors. Be sure to visit Coquille River Lighthouse at Bullards Beach State Park, drive along Beach Loop Road, and walk along the harbor and through Old Town.

Port Orford is a historic landmark that offers an amazing coastal experience of fishing, seals and sea lions watching, beach combing, and agate hunting.

Gold Beach is a place where Rogue River enters the Pacific Ocean.Taking a boat tour allows you to enjoy the beauty of the wild river and the canyon. Gold Beach is a perfect place for salmon and steelhead fishing, crabbing and clamming, hiking and biking.

Brookings is a harbor town that offers fishing, windsurfing, and surfing. Brookings offers a variety of cultural and outdoor activities.
