State Capitol Building

Oregon State Capitol, a legislative building in Salem, is the home of the government of the state of Oregon. This is the third statehouse, constructed in 1936-1938. Two previous capitol buildings were destroyed by fire in 1855 and 1935.

Annually Oregon State Capitol hosts a variety of events.

Exactly 121 steps bring you to the highest point of the building to the base of Golden Pioneer and amazing panoramic views of the City of Salem.
